In mid-2021 the GPE secretariat carried out a Rapid Review of EOL support to National Education Coalitions (OC1). The report by an external consultant was submitted to GPE in August last year and gave a positive assessment of efforts and results of Oxfam Denmark´s role as grant agent and the first two years of efforts and results during EOL implementation.

It served as a basis for the GPE’s decision to extend OC1 support for coalitions up to the end of 2023.

Seven months later a status has been made of how GPE secretariat and Oxfam Denmark have addressed the 16 different recommendations contained in the Rapid Review report. In summary, implementation of 8 recommendations have been completed, 6 are currently being implemented according to agreed timeline, and remaining 2 will form part of follow-up to an EOL mid-term review which has been carried out over the past six months.
