Meet the new grantee: Jordan Coalition for Education for All (JCEFA)
Through community-driven advocacy, JCEFA is joining the Education Out Loud at a pivotal moment, and is looking forward to strengthening collaboration among CSOs in Jordan.
The Jordan Coalition for Education for All (JCEFA) is a key member of the Arab Campaign for Education for All (ACEA) and a national leader in advancing inclusive, participatory, and gender-responsive education reform. Through Education Out Loud support, JCEA has most recently joined the Education Out Loud Programme and is strengthening civil society engagement in education policy processes, expanding the coalition’s technical capacity, and ensuring that community perspectives inform national decision-making.
JCEFA’s role in the education landscape
Jordan’s education sector has come under significant pressure in recent years, largely due to the influx of refugees from neighbouring countries and the resulting strain on public schools. In this environment, JCEFA has positioned itself as a trusted civil society actor, bridging the gap between communities, government institutions, and regional education networks. The coalition places strong emphasis on engaging local organisations and community actors in school processes so that policy recommendations are informed by realities at both local and national levels.

With Education Out Loud support, JCEFA plans to expand advocacy training for its members, improve policy analysis capacities, and increase engagement with marginalised groups, particularly girls, youth, refugees, and children with disabilities. These efforts contribute to national education reform while reinforcing ACEA’s regional work on collective advocacy.
“We firmly believe that strengthening the coalition’s institutional and technical capacities is essential to amplifying our collective voice for inclusive, equitable, and diverse education systems. This enables our members to influence national education reforms and reinforces ACEA’s regional efforts to advance collaborative, evidence-based advocacy for the right to education.” says Abeer

At the local level, JCEFA is supporting local communities to monitor policy implementation, gather evidence, and propose recommendations through multi-stakeholders’ policy dialogue sessions. This bottom-up approach reflects Education Out Loud’s focus on citizen-led accountability and aligns with ACEA’s regional strategies on community mobilisation and civic participation. “Our intervention is to ensure that all children in Jordan have access to education through an inclusive approach aligned with the national framework on diversity and inclusive education developed by the Ministry of Education and UNESCO. This means ensuring that all children—including refugees and vulnerable learners—are in school and supported.” explains Abeer.
