Five civil society organisations and their partners have been selected for grants from Education Out Loud to support civil society’s role in promoting the transparency and accountability of national education sector policy and implementation.
AMEI is an advocacy and social accountability project aimed at highlighting barriers that exist preventing pregnant girls and adolescent mothers returning to school in DRC, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

On September 2, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) approved an additional US$17.3 million for Education Out Loud to support national education coalitions in their education advocacy and social accountability work.

In April 2020 the first ten applicants were chosen as recipients of support during Year Zero. We are now happy to announce that nine more transnational alliances have been selected to receive support from Education Out Loud to develop their full proposals during the Year Zero process.
The second and final group of national civil society organisations (CSOs) under Operational Component 2 (OC2) has been selected to undergo the Year Zero process.
The Covid-19 crisis is affecting the Education Out Loud (EOL) Programme implementation. But the crisis has also increased the importance of the advocacy work carried out by the civil society organisations supported under EOL who are constantly seeking alternative ways of working to reach their goals.
