54 National Education Coalitions
In early 2020, 54 National Coalitions from 54 different nations were each awarded a grant from Education Out Loud. The Coalitions had earlier received grants from the Civil Society Education Fund under Global Partnership for Education and are continuing their efforts in strengthening civil society engagement in education planning, policy dialogue and monitoring at a national level.
Bringing children back to school
Despite COVID-19, school closures and restrictions on assembly the 54 OC1 grantees have managed to reach great results in influencing education policy. A significant number of National Coalitions have been able to advocate for or influence policies regarding safe re-opening of schools as well as ensuring that marginalized groups of children are brought back to school. It is very encouraging that so many coalitions have been able to participate and assist in defining politics related to safe re-openings hence ensuring inclusion of the most vulnerable children. We look forward to supporting the coalitions in their further efforts to ensure education for all.
Education Out Loud is happy to announce here the first 54 recipients of Education Out Loud grants. Below you explore the coalition’s respective websites and other communication channels to explore more of the important work they do.
